Jada Johnson, M.Ed.  Special Education  Advocate

With nearly a decade of experience as a dedicated special education teacher and reading coach, Jada has served students and families across the state of South Carolina. Throughout her career, she has written and implemented hundreds of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), working closely with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to ensure each student receives the services and support they need to thrive.

Jada earned her bachelor's degree in Special Education from Winthrop University and went on to deepen her expertise with a master’s degree in Literacy from Clemson University. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Educational Leadership. Her commitment to inclusive education is matched by her passion for building strong, empathetic relationships within school communities.

In addition to her classroom experience, Jada is also a certified yoga instructor, integrating mindfulness practices and Nonviolent Communication into her daily work. This approach helps foster mutual understanding, emotional safety, and positive collaboration among students, educators, and families.

Now stepping into the role of a special education advocate, Jada brings a wealth of practical knowledge, compassion, and a steadfast belief in equity. She is dedicated to empowering families, guiding them through the special education process, and advocating for the rights and needs of every child.
